Description¶
SQL Servers using service-managed keys for Transparent Data Encryption delegate key lifecycle control to Microsoft. Customer-managed keys in Azure Key Vault provide full control over key rotation, revocation, and destruction, meeting regulatory requirements for data sovereignty.
